Location

Nestled on the banks of the Mara River in the famed Lamai triangle, you can watch the annual wildebeest migration cross the river right in front of your eyes. Only a 45-minute game drive from the Serengeti Lamai airstrip, before you know it you will be ready for poolside lounging and the chance to get up close to the Serengeti’s incredible animals.

The 6 tented suites really do showcase contemporary African design at its best. Massive beds and sumptuous sofas draped in natural fabrics offer a sublime retreat at the end of a long day’s safari. What better way to simultaneously unwind and scan the Hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River below than from your private outdoor bathtub. All tents have ensuite toilets and the camp also offers complimentary Wi-Fi – although we doubt you will give this a second thought once you have settled in.

Why we like it

The sheer attention to detail and emphasis on sustainable tourism and materials make the Singita Mara a truly unique safari experience. Daily game drives are the main activity here and with the plethora of wildlife here, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
