Become a Jetsetter in Portugal with Christian Oth Studio

The Verride Palácio de Santa Catarina is a glamorous and historical space in the heart of Lisbon. Combine the famous city light with amazing views and Portuguese inspired decorations – and you’ll have one of the most special places to stay in Lisbon.

Day 1

Your guide and private driver will meet you at the airport and whisk you to the Palacio where you’ll have your first night at leisure. If time permits, head to Farmacia for dinner. It’s on the quirky side but the food is incredible and it’s one of our favorite spots for a view from the top of one of the city’s miradouros.

Day 2

The second day will be yours to enjoy at leisure as you have the chance to explore the buzzing capital on your own. Maybe wander to the Terreiro do Paço area where you can see the famous Arco da Rua Augusta or enjoy a stroll along the river or down Augusta Street to one of the many cafes or restaurants in the area. If museums or art galleries are what you’re after, no need to worry, there are plenty that you can visit while in Lisbon.

Day 3

After an early start to the day, experience the Portuguese capital from a new perspective while relaxing on one of the most beautiful sailboats navigating along the shoreline. Enjoy moments of relaxation and photography while contemplating the Lisbon Coast, the place from where the Portuguese caravels departed in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries out to the East. Learn how to sail with our experienced skippers or just relax and head for a Portuguese Porto and some typical pastries.

You’ll end your boat tour at the port in Sintra where your next adventure and photoshoot awaits. Kristen and Zack worked with a series of wardrobe changes from an emerald green gown to a flowy summer frock and clean white bikini for some poolside shots. If you’re looking to work with a full team, we’ll arrange to have them right there with you. For this shoot, Paris-based makeup artist, Ava Belle, flew in to keep the couple looking their best each day.

Day 4

A magnificent example of 18th-century architecture, your next stay will sweep you off to the luxurious Tivoli Palacio de Seteais where you’ll overlook the 19th-century fantasy of the Palácio da Pena and the impressive Castelo dos Mouros and be left bordered on the other side by the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 5

The next day, you will spend the morning on set with Christian Oth to capture the best lighting around the dazzling rooms with timeless furniture and the classically landscaped garden. In the afternoon, take the route of Romanticism into the heart of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire its fabulous architectural monuments. Step back further in time, and see the remains of villages from the Neolithic period which date to about five thousand years old.

While in Portugal, we suggest trying a typical pastry, Travesseiros de Sintra, after a small walking tour through the romantic village. Afterwards, head to Quinta da Regaleira built in the late 19th century and featuring a palace, chapel and gardens as well as caves, wells, and underground areas.

Day 6

Next, it’s onto Cascais. Initially a fishing town, but today it is the outdoor terraces, the restaurants and the shops that bring the bay and the historic center alive. It’s a town that is not worth missing. Depart for a day trip after breakfast and head to the northern end of town, Boca do Inferno or Hell’s Mouth where you can observe the power of waves crashing into the coastline. Further along, you can see the São Jorge de Oitavos Fort and, some 10km away, is Guincho Beach, another seascape awaiting you for a good fresh fish or seafood meal. It is one of the main surfing and windsurfing spots on the Portuguese coast, featuring in world tournaments.

Make your way back to land and depart for the Lisbon airport in the morning.
