Palazzo Venart, Venice
Refined and noble, Palazzo Venart is everything a stay in Venice should be. The boutique hotel sits stately and proud on the Grand Canal, with landscaped gardens adding a sense of tranquility. Home to just 18 rooms and suites, Palazzo Venart will feel like your own private bolthole. A secret courtyard scented by magnolia reveals the trump card however. Step through to uncover two Michelin-starred GLAM and a contemporary reinvention of Venetian cuisine.
Location
Sitting directly on the Grand Canal, Palazzo Venart enjoys one of Venice’s most privileged locations. In the Santa Croce neighbourhood, it’s just a short walk to the Rialto and onto Piazza San Marco. To arrive, boat is best with transfers organised directly from the airport and train station.
Your Room
Embodying a true sense of place, each of the 18 rooms and suites tells a story of a unique aspect of Venetian history and culture. Some take their inspiration from great masters, others from the lagoon city’s maritime exploits. Whilst individual in character, the rooms all typically brood beneath deep velvets and silk brocades with accents of crimson and gold contrasting with the canal and garden views. We love the Classic Terrace rooms with their views out across the rooftops of Santa Croce and the Luxury Suites with their sky high ceilings and marble floors.
Why we like it
A stay at Palazzo Venart is akin to a few days in the life of nobility. Every detail of the Palazzo has been beautifully restored with murals and frescoes leading you in every direction. Chandeliers and parquet floors gleam brightly whilst antique furnishings beckon quiet moments of respite. Our favourite thing however has to be strolling through the gardens each morning to the luxurious boat docked on the Grand Canal, ready to take us any direction we choose.
